      • File Review: We assess your solid models (preferred formats: .stp, .step, .iges) and PDF drawings to ensure we have all necessary details.
      • Quote Generation: Our team evaluates material, machining requirements, and quantity to provide an accurate quote, including lead time and shipping costs.
      • Response: For standard requests, expect a quote within 1–3 days. Need it faster? Let us know, and we’ll prioritize your submission.

      Tip: Complete files with clear specs speed up this phase. If we need clarification, we’ll reach out promptly to keep things moving.

      Phase 2: Order Confirmation and Planning

      Timeline: 1–2 business days after quote approval
      Once you approve the quote and place your order, we transition to planning:

      • Order Acknowledgment: We confirm receipt of your purchase order and finalize details like delivery date and shipping method.
      • Scheduling: Your project is slotted into our production queue based on current workload and your requested timeline.
      • Material Prep: We order or pull materials, leveraging certifications (e.g., mill certs) to meet ISO 9001 and AS9100 Rev D standards.

      This phase typically takes 1–2 days, depending on material availability and order complexity.

      Phase 3: Manufacturing

      Timeline: 2–6 weeks (typical); varies by project
      The heart of the process is manufacturing, where our skilled machinists—led by Lynn Glover’s 40+ years of expertise—bring your design to life. Factors affecting this timeline include:

      • Part Complexity: Simple parts with fewer features take less time than intricate designs requiring multiple setups or processes.
      • Quantity: A single prototype might be ready in days, while a run of 100+ parts could take weeks.
      • Material: Common metals like aluminum or steel are faster to source and machine than exotic alloys.
      • Special Processes: Chemical conversion, heat treatment, or other outside services (with certifications provided) may add time.

      For a typical project, expect 2–6 weeks, though we’ll provide a specific lead time in your quote. Need it sooner? Ask about expedited production when submitting your request.

      Phase 4: Inspection and Quality Assurance

      Timeline: 1–3 business days
      Quality is non-negotiable at Glover Precision. Before shipping, every part undergoes inspection:

      • Checks: We verify dimensions and tolerances against your specs, using tools like CMMs or manual gauges.
      • Documentation: You’ll receive a general inspection sheet, material certifications, and, if requested, an AS9102-style report (per our AS9100 Rev D certification).
      • Resolution: If an issue arises, our Quality team addresses it in-house to avoid delays.

      Phase 5: Shipping and Delivery

      Timeline: 1–5 business days (USA); local delivery same/next day
      Once approved, your parts are packaged securely and shipped:

      • Nationwide: We ship across the USA via UPS, FedEx, or freight, with transit times of 1–5 days depending on your location.
      • Local Delivery: For nearby clients, we offer same- or next-day delivery upon request.
      • Tracking: You’ll receive updates to monitor your shipment’s progress.
